Agri-business in Thailand is facing the turning point from producing commodities to a more value-added, consumer-driven sector. As one of the leading academic institutes in Asia, the Faculty of Agro-Industry has coordinated a vast array of research and knowledge to provide innovative technology, quality systems solutions and human resources enabling food, feed and textile industries to capture the market opportunities.

The Faculty conducts numerous researches contracted by both public and private agencies. The research is executed by internationally competitive people working in 3 areas: Quality in Chains, Product and Process Innovation, as well as Consumer Research. The special research units have been set up to promote a strong research network through inter-department research interests, which enabling collaborations between the departments and faculties in Kasetsart University, facilitating experience exchange between scientists, and providing a more efficient use of the research facilities. The special research units work at the leading-edge technology to support the Post-Graduate program in the areas of:
